New Free Build and Next Steps
🕑 Added 2023-10-21 16:14:15 +0000 UTCThere is a new free build available! It is exactly like the patron build, but without some of the new faction leader events. That means that it has all of the quality-of-life features, optimizations, and of the new events from the last patch, plus a peek at the new diplomacy and concubine systems. You can get it through the Discord (Patreon won't let me link NSFW content directly in a public post).
Now that the faction leaders are set, I'm going to jump right into the next AI art patch. It's time to stop filling the niche of "adult game with ugly character art."
The draft design for this is a little loose because this is all new (I'm not aware of anyone who has used this approach in a game), but the goal is to bring the inspection screen and the rest of the events to the level of quality of the faction leader cutscenes (and maybe even higher).
Characters will be made of:
- One of a set of body types (currently defualt, petite, curvy, chubby, or muscular)
- A ton of faces and hairstyles (plus expressions)
- Full range of hair colors and skin tones
- All new clothes (all custom, and no clipping because they will be 2D)
Integrated with:
- A full rewrite of the on-station events and inspection screen to make them more visual novel-y (like the events from the last two updates).
- A full set of idles and sex positions (hopefully with animation)
- Matching faces for all of the people you get from events (and some tweaking so they look right in the top-down view too).
- Mysteries abound (So many maybes at this stage that I won't list them all).
