Stationmaster 2 0.7: Event Overhaul Now Available for Soldiers
🕑 Added 2023-07-14 12:37:40 +0000 UTCIt's done! I'm incredibly proud of this one. It was a ton of work, but the results are better than I could have hoped. I've also switched file hosts to Pixeldrain.
(Windows only for now. MacOS and Linux seem to work better with Wine anyway)
Changes:
The Main Event (ha):
I re-made all 50+ off-station events from scratch, and added a few all-new ones. The difference is... stark. It ended up being over 400 images, and aronud 30,000 words of new writing. There are also better audio cues and music to go along with it.
Mod support is also preserved. Just follow the naming conventions and you can add your own text/images to create new events.
Other Stuff:
Added loading screens with art and some quotes from the Discord.
Significantly optimized memory usage.
Fixed several bugs around the galaxy map UI.
Fixed a bug that could cause people to sink through the floor (though there may be more, since this was intermittent).
Fixed the gray floor in the main menu.
Decor tabs now highlight when selected.
It is now harder to derail the tutorial by clicking on stuff I didn't expect.
Skipping the tutorial in the beginning no longer skips the galaxy map portion later.
Purged some jank from room creation.
Fixed a bug that prevented events from triggering for the slaves on your station.

Thanks for that. I'm planning on redoing the look of inspection screen and the rest of the on-station events with the new style (and with consistent people) in a near future patch. I'm still looking out for a couple more advancements in AI before I attempt it though.

I like the art style, but it now has a nice pic of someone who doesnt match the 3d image of the person you get. Also few things I noticed tinkering around, while I like the new look of the rules, its missing uniforms to assign to jobs. Also dressing anyone for some reason takes awhile to load clothing, at first I thought the assets weren't done but then saw them pop in later on. I would also like a bathing suit option or bikini for the spa. Most of the outfits dont fit the jobs I would like for them, Lastly, you still have issue with bodies going black when on map screen,
