🕑 Added 2021-09-03 18:04:23 +0000 UTCStationmaster 2's displayed NPC's are much improved. Aside from the model itself, the biggest change is that they now will show the major body morphs of the attached person (things like muscle, breast size, and eventually pregnancy).
Pathfinding and everything is working the way it did before, but with the addition of elevators to cross between floors (which should let you put a lot more NPC's on your stations because it's simplified when you're not looking at it).
There are about ninety tasks remaining, ranging from little stuff like "improve particles on dance floor" to larger projects like "Build faction AI." Still no concrete ETA, but this was one of the biggest things left.
A bunch of the remaining tasks are centered around re-making old models, so there's a good chance the arcade stations will look a bit different in the build. Hopefully I'll be able to show some progress on the art rework soon (it's probably going to be that or the galaxy map next, depending on what I'm in the mood for).

It's looking great. Question: Will the slave naming system work like in station master 1 where it is random picks from a pool of roughly 300 first and 300 last names? or more like RotE where the system builds names using randomized syllable contractions? Would you be interested in a greatly expanded list of 3000 first and last names for integration into the randomization pool? I may have an OCD against duplicated characters names. :D
