New things to come (a big post ๐)
🕑 Added 2022-04-22 11:14:01 +0000 UTCAt the moment, I'm passing through a high demanding moment. It's one of the times that I got busier, and it may seem that I've stopped creating things, but no, its actually the opposite.
Here I'll talk about:
- CEB Dynamic grooming
- CEB Addon Management
- Things in between
- The first animated series from CEB Studio (and what Patreons will get from it)
So, I would like to share with you all what is going on, and what is planned.
CEB Dynamic Grooming
This year I started working on a development for hair, something that I saw it was very difficult to find, and expensive. My idea was to release a tool that could make this task of hair creation in blender better and faster... The result: Dynamic Grooming.
Dynamic Grooming now I tried to make the hair creation less scary, bringing to a "smart" panel, the options that you have in hair particle. And a way that you can store those setting for reuse.
The original idea, was a creation for several presets so users could actually make hair faster, because tweaking those options are very difficult and confusing.
But, even like that, creating hair was still difficult. So I started another task for this addon. I started creating full hair to make available on the addon, so people can really add a hairstyle very fast.
But the hair creation is very difficult, and I'm working on some hairstyles. As soon as I get a decent amount of hairstyles, I'll release an update with them and a tool to make easier to apply it to a character.
I may release a few (1 or 2 assets) on the free tier, the paid tier will have all hairstyles I create. If you are a patreon and dont have the Dynamic grooming Pro, please, talk to me.
CEB Addon Management
After getting to a point were I saw Dynamic Grooming was good enough, I moved again to start creating animations (the whole purpose on CEB Studio creation) and using all the addons necessary, made my UI looks like crap, I could not even see what was the addon I had enabled in Blender.
Addons I've found about making easier to use blender with lots of addons, didnt seem good to me. So, I had to stop (again LOL) and create a tool that I could, like Blender tabs, show what I want to do (be it, modeling, shading, animating) and load the proper addons for that.
Not only that, I felt that I could make a better (at least for me) way to group several addons that were enabled, and that it could be saved and load automatically for me, every time I open blender.
And CEB Addon Management was born :)
Again I got in a point that I felt I could stop developing it and moved back to creating
animatations.
Things in between
I actually did not go back and create animations, because I noticed that, I didnt have enough hairstyles to use on my characters, I also didn't have a good story and I was not confident enough on creating scenes with the quality I wanted.
That's when some other things, happened. I saw the new addon from VFX Grace, the 3d Hair Brush. And I was amazed by the power of their hair modifiers, something blender do not have by default, and I got back on creating hair...
Also while that, the Chocofur "The Art of Rendering Masterclass" came out, and I started studying it. And I can say, it's an amazing course, that I've found lots of instructions, not only on how to render a beautiful and realistic scene, but also learned about image balance, composition and other important aspects of the creation of an appealing scene.
Now I feel that I'm able to make decent scenarios for the animations.
And the least but most important of all.
Yesterday I got thinking. I need a good story. Something that I find fun and possibly others too... After some hours of thoughts. I came with one idea, that was bad at the beginning, but I think I managed to make in a way that will be very good, and won't offend anyone (the original idea I felt that had the potent of offending lots of people, so I would not do it, at least not now ๐)
And that leads to the last topic of this text, that has the size of a small book LOL.
The first animated series from CEB Studio (and what Patreons will get from it)
As I explained on the previous topic, I was able to come with an idea that I found interesting, but managed to make it great (for me).
Not only that, this idea made me have another 2 good ideas for short animations.
So in the end, before yesterday, I didn't have any idea, and today I have 3. That is a great start, I guess.
I still have other important personal things to finish, and I can't postpone them. These things are taking most of my time now, so I'm focusing on finish them, or most of them, to have space to work on this animation series.
And what Patreons will get?
I'm sure that, to make those shorts, I'll have to create a lot of stuff, and use lots of addons and 3rd-party assets.
Obviously, I won't be able to share the assets I've bought, and things from paid addons. But I plan to share everything else, things I'll create! So the patreons can also benefit from the things I discover and help you guys to have a better workflow to create your own stuff.
And about the animated series?
The main character will be person or thing from the future :D
