This was definitely a fun little intermission between seasons. It also gave us some possible hints at things to come, as well! Betty's family, the relationship between Roswaal and Ram, Emilia's connections to the Witch... All very interesting things to think about as we move forward...

(2:50): English is cool in Japan (like in most cultures, it's trendy to use forgien words). So Subaru is just being ultra cool by doing the monologue in English. (12:00): This OVA is indeed canon. It takes place during the time skip between episodes 11 and 12. It's a combination of several side stories. (28:19): Ah yes, the mayonnaise chapters (no joke they actually exist). Basically Subaru introduced mayo to the world of Re:Zero, since he liked it back home. The author has written a few bonus / side stories about some antics that involve mayonnaise, which were dubbed, the mayonnaise chapters. The Memory Snow trailer (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vg40gSVVI2M) has more mayo content that couldn't be fit into the OVA. (58:18): Just a reminder that his name is Petalgeuse not Betalgeuse.
