I had no idea what I was getting into with this. I was expecting some harsh Viking life with a dark/gritty tone. Especially when I saw it was rated TV MA. I love how this show just seemed to fall into its tone right from the start. It didn't need time to figure out what it was trying to be. You know right away what you are getting into from the very first few lines of dialogue. I really can't wait to see more of this! Olvar, you will be missed... Well, I'm sure someone will miss him... Maybe... Not his wife though, lol.

Ha, enabling subtitles was a good idea, I was just about to suggest it. When he said "Loki", it was more as an exclamation/curse. The chieftain's name is Olav. And yeah, your analogy isn't far with the Office, I've also heard it referred to as the Vikings Monty Python. Glad you liked this ep, it only gets better truly.
