Here is a little extra added darkness to the episode: Ashley Johnson is the voice actress who voices Ellie in the games, and who played Ellie’s mom in the flashback on the show. She also sings, and it was her cover of Through The Valley they played at the end. I felt that.

It worked out for the ex-fireflies, but I would have pretended to be refugees and tried to get inside, and pretend to be on board with everything, and then snatch up Joel.
