Abaddon here is the son of “the beast” from the impossible planet/the Satan pit. Funnily enough the beast, through the ood, mentions that he sometimes goes by the same name. Also yeah Gwen is phenomenal here. I would highly recommend a show called “Keeping Faith” where the main character is portrayed by Eve Myles. It’s truly awesome and so is she.
