Shen Makes an Earnest Attempt at Making a Fursona (Pt. 3)

A knight crab, a space scavenger raccoon, and a courtier owl. I said I would iterate on all 3 of them. I decided to write down what exactly I'd like to change before jumping in. Here are those iterations!

I dunno why I decided to randomly add a tail here, it just felt right.

AND FINALLY, THE OWL
I feel that we might be starting to cook here. Here's where we're at in this process:
[x] Pick 3 animals
[x] Do studies of those animals. Takes notes on any defining characteristics that could be included in an anthro version (1 hr)
[x] Do studies of anthro art (30 minutes)
[x] Create 3 anthro designs (1 per animal)
[x] Iterate on them each of them once
[ ] Pick the one I like most
[ ] Iterate on it 2 more times
[ ] Make a cool drawing of it, where I vary up the angle and pose a bit
The next step is to pick out the one I like most, and then I have to iterate on that design 2 more times. I think I'll iterate on the "career" outfit once more and then make a more casual outfit for them too, because I've always been super into the idea of fantastical characters wearing casual outfits.
Also, Mali McMew pointed out on the last post that we might be sleeping on some fem crab. I think we might indeed be sleeping on fem crab here. I'm gonna focus on the main steps of this project, but I'll see if I can cook up a fem crab sketch somewhere along the way.

I think crab guy is the coolest but I like raccoon guy the best. owl guy is dope, you don't see many fursonas that aren't mammals or reptiles.

Snow owl is fashionable as fuck, but as someone who appreciates good knight attire and also large girthy tails I have to give it to Crabnite, he's the best here. Also as a total combat autist, unique weapons like the crab scissors (that look to also double as pliers, bolt cutters, chain cutters, etc. Crabnite further wins it.

For some reason I felt like each iteration was more of a downgrade? The Shen design is simplistic. A Shensona should keep that simplicity, imo. Super interested in seeing where this leads. Why stop with femme crab, qhen you could have femme racoon and owl, too? 👀

I'm loving the crabsona, honestly. Maybe the tail could be like a lobster's or something more aquatic?

Not loving the owl, but the racoon is feeling cool, though it might be a bit much in the character realm vs being your own fursona, at least to me. I know everybody is different in that regard. I will say, def interested to see a fem crab or fem others. I know for myself... well taking your fursona and feminizing them and seeing how that feels is 100% a thing...
