I think the issue with this comic is that there's just some incompleteness.
Who is the character looking at the locket? That's the Professional Hater from a (1) a few of (2) my comics, but most readers wouldn't know that.
Whose picture is in the locket? Conventionally, revealing whose picture is in the locket seems like it would be the punchline, but I don't have an idea for who it could be
