Update: it looks like Beg Borrow or Steal won’t win, but I sent it to my sister as a rec and it turns out she read the whole series like 3 years ago

God these do all sound annoying. First Time Caller irks me specifically as someone who hates “my life is great in every conceivable way except that I’m single, which is uniquely devastating” plots. I’m obligated to vote for Beg, Borrow or Steal in honor of my romance novel-loving, Kentucky elementary teacher sister.

till summer do us part is the only one with literally any points of interest to me, and that is, of course, this insane 100% married workplace, who all love being married and working together so much that they go to married people summer camp together. barf??? why is this entire workplace staffed by wife guys??? i need to know how stepford husbands these guys are. dreaming of a world where the third act twist is some kind of lame ripoff of ready or not but with married people and getting married instead of whatever the family in ready or not's deal was and getting murdered

I've heard a LOT of rave reviews of First Time Caller and I'm willing to be wrong! it's happened before!

When I was reading the description of Xavier Rush, I immediately pictured Ify Nwadiwe cuddling the cat in Youlympics before remembering that the book cover probably has a white guy with dark hair in idk a white button up shirt with several buttons undone.

Voted for Til Summer Do Us Part because it sounds the least boring

These all sound so bad 😂😂😂 it’s so hard to pick. I’m a bit 👀 about the skating AU you mentioned though! “Improv-obsessed millionaire” made my front lobe jump out of my skull and go hide behind the couch so I guess I’m voting for that one.

I can’t think of a more atrocious phrase right now than “improv-obsessed millionaire”

First Time Caller sounds the least bad IMO, so I had mercy and chose that one.

I read some of Abby Jiminez's other books last year, they were fine but the preview for Say You'll Remember Me at the end made both the leads seem insufferable, good luck if that one wins
Kylie Sparks
Oof, this was tough choice because on one hand I'd love to get your thoughts on a book that I actually genuinely enjoyed (First Time Caller) or figuring out whatever the fuck is going on with the improv obsessed millionaire, but I ultimately had to go with the radio romance despite the meddling tween

My face reading all of these blurbs: 😬
