Marquis 69 - Sweet Radish
🕑 Added 2020-12-24 19:18:51 +0000 UTCCan’t remember if we actually made it through this song this night. Haven’t had time to rewatch this vid. I had a Marquis 69, White Wall tires, Stock Aqua Teal Blue, 429 engine V8, Black Hard Top, Aqua Seats ( Original), both front windows shattered one day when I closed the door. The starter was out so I started her with a Screwdriver everyday until I finally got the courage to fix it myself. A super easy job in the end. She was in mint condition. An angel sailing on land. I used to cruise Main Street up and down before it became a one way with my Dog Evita. A black German Shepherd with arthritis and a big heart. I had the honor of caring for her in her last days. The day she died, she had more seizures than we could count. It was time. I sold my Marquis to buy a horse that threw me off one day. That’s when I woke up and also got a minor concussion and forgot a bunch of things I didn’t want to remember anyways, I found out later. I sold the horse and rescued an old horse. His name was Cheeko. He had been sold and passed around his whole life but his original person who loved him very much was Ms. Saundra my schools secretary aka office lady aka unofficial student advocate and counselor. We loved her. She stood up for us. We needed that in the school I went to. She was crossing the highway one day and was hit by a farm truck. She didn’t survive. Cheeko lived to near 30 years old and died from cancer the second year we moved to our new farm Jack Rabbit Hollow. The days before he passed we gave him pain killers and molasses. We rolled him every 4 hours and covered him in blankets at night. When he passed we lifted him with the loader and buried him 5’ below the surface and built a hugelkulture mound around him. One day we will plant a tree there. I miss them all and would do it this way a thousand times again.
