Here’s the illustration that was chosen as the 1st place winner through your votes!
Just before the voting deadline, Entry #16 ended up in a tie, but since I had already started working on this piece, I couldn’t make any changes.
I sincerely apologize to those who voted for Entry #16.
Now, let me give you a quick overview of the process behind completing this piece!
First, I clean up the complex areas around the character to make everything neat and clear.
I tried to make sense of the element on the arm—whether it was a weapon or a shield—but it was too confusing, so I decided to let it go.
I refine the finer details of the character, adjusting elements like overly intricate vein patterns, messy hair, unnatural clothing, or awkward muscle designs to make them more natural. ✨
Ta-da! The basic cleanup of the character is complete.
I thought about adding more details like clothing or weapons, but it was hard to preserve the original feel.
Of course, my skills still have room for improvement, 😂
I wanted to include a blue serpent, but it was challenging to create a fitting image.
So instead, I used Leviathan to give it a more imposing and powerful vibe.
I create the background image and position the character to check the overall composition and mood.
Finally, I harmonize the tones of the character and the background, adding shadows and overall colors to enhance the atmosphere and depth.
Recently, with the help of ChatGPT, it has become much easier to communicate more frequently with my Patreon supporters.
Instead of just focusing on monthly rewards, I’m planning to post small updates that you can enjoy casually throughout the month!
Of course, it would be great if I could create everything by hand, but for now, balancing reward work alone is quite overwhelming, so I’m relying on AI for a bit of assistance.
Soon, I’ll finish refining the characters for the 2nd and 3rd place illustrations and share them with you as well.
