A kiss, tentative and gentle but we got one! How are the writers going to break you... Mwah ha ha! Apologies if you have already been told but season 1, 13 episodes, season 2, 18 episodes, season 3, 24 +2 bonus episodes and then FOX TV cancelled the Show. Millions of fans ( I am not joking) fought for Lucifer to be saved (I am forever grateful) and then to NETFLIX (Hurray) who picked up the series so season 4, 10 episodes, season 5 was split into 5A, 8 episodes and 5B, eight episodes although it runs as one continuous story throughout all 18 episodes and finally season 6, 10 episodes. So much more to enjoy and I wouldn't worry about how many episodes or why (there were reasons) just go with the flow and enjoy the ride and it just gets better and better!
