I don't think you have to binge Classic Who - The Timeless Child was first mentioned in S11, in "The Ghost Monument". Those evil cloth things that read your mind and feed back to you your deepest fears mentioned it. When Thirteen heard them say this, she was very startled. I'm sure we'll get more information as this is probably a season-long arc. (You could re-watch "Ghost Monument", however, at least that one part.)
