9-1-1 3X1: Kids Today
🕑 Added 2024-06-12 21:45:20 +0000 UTCUgh. I don't know how I feel about Buck's situation. I feel like they swung me back and forth between whether he was gonna be okay or not. And we end up on the side (potentially) of not okay? I don't like it! Do I find it realistic? Yes. Do I like it? No. Sigh. But that said, he totally didn't quit for real, right? Right?
This might have been one of my favorite 9-1-1 calls (maybe this and also the one where the dad kidnapped all his kids), with the crazy lady who cut a baby out of someone else. On the plus side, mom and baby are both great. And I'm not the only one who thinks they are gonna name the baby Maddie, right?
And are we just trying to have more kids on this show? As someone who is not going to have kids, I HATE when people ask me when I'm going to have some (We've been married 20 years next month, my mother-in-law still asks- no matter how many times I tell her it's not gonna happen), and I feel very sympathetic to people who are being asked about plans for their future children.
OMG. My guess is that Buck is gonna save a bunch of people from this tsunami and it's gonna have huge repercussions from it. No idea yet if they are gonna be good or bad, but I think it's totally gonna have an impact.
Come on. Buck and Christopher? This duo is iconic.

So, I'm realizing that this is important. I know. I kind of feel stupid for suggesting light duty. But, in my mind I was thinking he still goes on calls, but just does EMT stuff, not jump into a building stuff. Oops. Yes! I knew I was remembering something earlier in the series! I don't know if this actually means anything, but I noticed the contrast so that's still something, right? Lol Hard agree. I'm 100% happy for anyone who wants children. That's just not my life. And the older I get (I'm 43 and Dan is 45), the happier I am with this decision.

the tsunami arc is coming! it’s my absolute favorite disaster arc on the show. nothing can ever top it for me. and yessss buck and chris are an iconic duo! i love every single one of their scenes. i don’t think i could ever see buck on light duty. he has too much energy for that, he would go insane sitting at a desk all day. he was meant to be out in the world helping people. you are right! it’s the pilot episode with the baby in the pipe where buck wants to go in and see if she’s okay and bobby tells him they don’t ever go past the glass doors. they have now. i do wonder if it’s symbolic in some way. hmm i’ll have to think about it and see if i come to any conclusions. i’m the same way with kids. i’m in my late 30s but i have always made my stance on them very clear. since before i was a teenager, i always said i didn’t want kids and that hasn’t changed despite plenty of people saying it would. kids just aren’t for everyone.
