🕑 Added 2024-05-24 16:00:14 +0000 UTCI was completely shocked to find out that Finn was actually dead. I was so, so sure that it was a trick and Clarke didn't actually kill him. I'm stunned.
Lexa tells Clarke that she lost someone too and the way to deal with it is to not love or care for anyone as that leads to weakness. But then she says, 'that's the only way to protect the people you care about.' I thought we didn't care about anyone! It makes no sense! I harped on it in the reaction too. But it just irritated me so much!
Why didn't the bodyguard just fake being poisoned as opposed to actually poisoning himself? Either way, he ended up dead. But it also showed Raven that Clarke made the right decision to killed Finn. She'd prefer that to him being tortured.
Also, it seems like Lexa got in Clarke's head. She's making riskier choices now as she doesn't want to make decisions out of weakness. I'm fairly concerned about it, actually.
Ugh. Jasper was so close! I mean, on the plus side, he did fix the frequency and get the message out on a loop (and Clarke and the crew heard it!), but he also got caught and now he's in a cage with Harper. And the room has 45 other cages for all of the 47. Sigh.

I was so sure Finn wasn't going to die last episode during my first watch. I was sitting there like well he has main character plot armor so he has to get out of it but as the episode went on and on, I just couldn't see a way out other than he dies. I love that the show went there though. Brings back that no one is safe feeling from season 1. Clarke's anti feelings, anti-weakness concerns me too and ouch to Bellamy. One day she's like I can't lose you too, you mean too much to me and then the next day she's like your life is worth nothing, go be an inside man. You were asking last episode if Finn's death came at a mid-season finale cause that would explain why it's so dramatic and risky. I did watch this show during its OG run but I honestly can't remember. It must have been around that time though cause it was on the CW.
