9-1-1 2X5: Awful People
🕑 Added 2024-05-10 21:00:06 +0000 UTCThis was such a good episode. I really, really loved it. Probably of no surprise to anyone that I go off on a bit of a tangent about 'awful people' and what that means at the end.
I loved all the Maddie stuff so much. Also, I love that they made it pretty much immediately apparent that Gloria was not actually good at her job. How she got away with that for so long is beyond me. And they basically only found out by chance.
Plus, I really liked the ending when Maddie called Athena to say thank you. I'd love to find a way to get her to interact with the rest of the crew more often. I really hope the writers find a way to accomplish that for me.
Wow. I feel like Athena showed great restraint with scooter guy. If I were her I would have lost my shit. I hate that asshole. But I guess that's part of the point, right?
Man, Hen gave me a scare this episode. I really wasn't sure if she was gonna call 9-1-1 or not. I would have understood if she hadn't, but I wouldn't have been able to see her the same way again. I'm so glad she decided to call. And speaking of Hen, it looks like Eva's plan did not work out according to plan because Denny's dad was all like, 'you guys seem like good parents and I don't want to mess up a good thing here.

i love your tangents and rambles! and don’t worry i almost always cry at this show too. idk what it is about it that gets me every time. so 5 episodes into season 2, have you noticed how much better the show is now? like s1 is good, i enjoy a lot of it, but i feel like it becomes something else this season. it’s so much more cohesive and you feel so much more. you get attached to all the characters and dynamics. it’s so special.
