Totally loving the way they contrast their lives here. Love the way it's shot. Love pretty much everything about this.
This is one of my favorite ways to show characters learning about each other as well. I'm shipping so hard!

It is kind of a bummer, but honestly, the concept is so much fun, that I don't really think I'll mind that much. Yes! That's one of my favorite things about this show so far is that they feel like real people. Flawed, complex, and just trying to make it through life.

yay! i’m so glad you’re enjoying the show. i’m so into the concept of catching up with them that one day a year but yeah the downside is that we do miss important moments like watching the conversation he and his mom are going to have at lunch the next day. we’ll always be filled in somehow the next time we see them but we don’t always get to see things happen and that’s a bummer. i love that his parents liked emma too! i remember wondering if they would and being so surprised by just how much they do. his parents really are great despite that little moment with his mom this episode. i get she’s worried about him and his future especially if something is wrong with her but it definitely was mean to mock him like that. i’m so endeared by dex too! like he definitely has his dickish moments but i have so much love and care for him. he and emma are both very flawed individuals but i am always rooting for them to be happy and find their way.
