I wanted to try and do something simple that was mostly dependent on repetitive strokes and building texture over flat color so I wouldn't have to worry about linework finesse as much.
There's a quest in ToTK that started with NPCs talking about "princess zelda was seen riding a giant tusked beast" and while it ends completely different than you'd expect it still left an image in my mind that I've been holding onto.
It was interesting doing something in a style I'm not used to with brushes I've never played with before.

oooh I love this!
This is gorgeous, and I'm in awe of how the composition and colors work together to create a sense of a mystery just barely glimpsed. Tears of the Kingdom has been growing on me, but I might just put my copy of the game back in its box and pretend that this is what happened instead.
