(online) Life drawing!
🕑 Added 2021-02-20 16:55:44 +0000 UTCI joined a small group of friends in a “life drawing” chat, where we all simultaneously watch the same video of a model doing various timed poses and do voice chat together. It’s been a really nice social hangout in a time where everyone’s been pretty isolated and feeling kind of stagnant.
I haven’t drawn in my sketchbook in at least a year and I haven’t done actual model drawing in even LONGER!!! So this has been really nice for a change!
For artistically incline folks, I highly recommend organizing something like this! For me it’s been a really nice and low-key way to keep up with people I haven’t seen in LIKE, A YEAR.

I was just lamenting over how my sketchbook hasn't been touched in a year! I always treat my sketchbooks like anti-work projects, so I only use them when I'm out, at the bar, at a show, at dinner, at a party. I finally left a sketchbook and two pens to Luke's house (since that's the only place I go) so that I can sketch lazily when I'm over there. Life drawing online sure isn't the same as in person, but that connection to your other artist pals is PRICELESS. :)
