Chapter 5 / Pg 43 ALT COLOR
🕑 Added 2020-08-28 17:30:01 +0000 UTCI completely finished coloring this page and then realized that the palette was TOO SIMILAR TO THE PREVIOUS SCENE AND THE SCENE TRANSITION SEGUED POORLY!!! SO I COMPLETELY RECOLORED IT AAAA
I'm actually really happy with how the new version of the scene came out (greener teals, shading with red instead of purple - it now feels like it's the middle of a hot, bright day). But WOW coloring this page was like pulling teeth haha. I don't know what it was, but it took forever to get the opening environmental panel looking "right" to my eye - and then I had to do it all over again!
Anyway, I didn't want all that work to go to waste, so I'm sharing it with all you!
(note: I think I've mentioned it around before, but I've been coloring the latter half of Chapter 5 with the help of our flatter, Charlie Davis/@sproutsnout. Our beloved Jones is off living the Animation Life in LA now so I tagged in for colors!)

This is beautiful. Comparing the two, the first does give more of an early morning/evening vibe with the cool shadows. The 2nd definitely sells the hot sun. It was like pulling teeth but you nailed it so great job!
