Welcome to my Favorite Read (audio) Books of 2019! I listen to audiobooks while I work and tend to burn through them semi-quickly. In 2018 and 2019 I got into digital library loans through the Libby app, I highly recommend it! Most of these were gotten for free through the library, with a few exceptions.
My favorite books I read of 2019 were Bad Blood by John Carreyrou (nonfiction, investigative journalism about Theranos), Sabriel by Garth Nix (YA fantasy, I'd somehow never read it before and really loved it), and A Memory Called Empire by Arkady Martine (science fiction political intrigue). OH, and Keturah and Lord Death by Martine Leavitt (fairytale fantasy, also about the physical embodiment of Death which is a favorite theme of mine)
I did an extremely bad job of keeping track of the comics I read as well and didn't even bother filling out the spreadsheet even though I set one up!! Off the top of my head my favorite comics in 2019 were Delicious in Dungeon by Ryoko Kui and When I Arrived at the Castle by Emily Carroll.
As with last year, I blanked out any books I marked at ⭐️⭐️½ or lower, I only want to share recommendations I really enjoyed!
In 2019 I dipped into more nonfiction and I want to keep that up in 2020! Here's to more reading in the New Year! 🎉

I'd been seeing my friends talk about the book for years and it's been on my eternal to-do list, I don't know why I put it off for so long! It was really a delight. I had never read Tamora Pierce before either and had a fun time, though I was sad I didn't read her books at age 13 instead of 30. Alas!

It always warms my heart to see Edith Hamilton's Mythology pop up since she has a connection to my high school. ❤️ Also, I would have pegged you for person who would have already read Sabriel! It's quiet enjoyable and holds a soft spot in my heart, personally. Will have to check out the other recs!!
