If ever I were to look into getting an assistant, it'd be for things like this. Not that I'm close to that level.

Minimal post processing is definitely preferable. I usually stick with using big fat semi-transparent in-game rectangles to tint everything behind the character.

It's fairly tough, the problem you'll have with scenes like this would be whenever you changed angle you'd have to compensate for it and keep track of every light source/ smoke emission. Very time consuming and it is a pain doing the foreground/ background snapshots constantly in a scene, as you've probably noticed!

Photoshop was made for that. It has many many options, but it is not the only one. And you can probably find some for free. SAI is one that is popular with my artists. I personally use Clip Studio Paint, which is free if you only want to use it to correct colors (but 1 time pay of $60 for more advance things, though nothing essential). CSP is also good for making comics, thought the best option for that is $200.

Yeah! Jun was actually designed in Kisekae before I knew about Koikatsu. I wonder if I can find the file.... ...What the heck!? I deleted it! I never delete things!

Kishin Slayer

Oh, it's basically 3D kisekae, nice. I figured it would be way too much work doing all this in blender or something lol

SigmaGal

I actually don't have photoshop, but I plan on getting it soon. If it's quick an easy to fix colours, absolutely I'll do that. Otherwise I gotta make compromises with how much work goes into each page.

Koikatsu Party! It's on steam, as well as the a few guides to help get the standard mods.

Kishin Slayer

What program are you using again?

icarue

If you have photoshop or similar, you can then change the color of the lights to whatever you want, right? Edit: Hell, you can add special effects like lights or smoke!

SigmaGal

I think so, kinda. Like, I can pose a character with no background and output a PNG of just them, with the rest of it being fully transparent, and then add a separate thing as a background.

Is green screen a thing you can do?
