The dorm's bedroom floor background

One of the things I worked on this week, was the bedroom floor of the the girls dorm. And this was actually quite a fun fun room to design. Not becasuse it was so visually exciting, but I just really like working n rooms that have some kind of moving element in them. And in this case it was an elevator as you can see below.
Now this is just where Keen enters the bedroom-floor, but the entire floor consists out of 3 screens and looks like this (see attachment for bigger image).
Now when drawing this floor, I just drew the middle, and right part of it. And I then mirrored the right part tomake the left part as well. Of couse I still have to tweak some details like the numbers next to the doors, or the shadows on the ground. But mirroring things like this can save a lot time.
So this is what I actually drew.
And here you can see a few steps of drawing process again.
Looking back at it, I think the biggest challenge for me here was finding the righ colors for this background. And that’s because in game there will be a row of girls in the background, who will be wearing outfits in many different colors*. So therefore I didn’t want to make this enviorment too colorfull - and so I went for a rather desaturated yellowish-white/ orange color scheme. But maybe it's too desaturated...?
Meanwhile I’m also working on the ground floor of this building, and I hope the same color scheme will work there too. This is my initial sketch for the groundfloor (see attachment for bigger image).
Now this is more of a gamedesign sketch then something artsy -but next time I hope to be able to show you a more finished version of this.

Haha, thanks Dacer! In this case my biggest challenge was to figure out a shape for this bedroom-floor, that would work with what I already previously designed. So therefore this bedroom floor has 8 sides, and each side has 2 doors- so that each door can connect to a shuttle that's docked outside. But on top of that I was of course free to design the details- which is always fun to do. - I hope you are doing well! Kind regards, Robin

Thanks Juan! And also thanks for stepping in on that other random comment. ( That patron seemed to have overlooked much of the new content of the latest update, which I already kindly explained to him. And I even refunded his euro. So that comment also felt unnecessary to me).
