Location: The Bridge

so this week I finally started drawing the Bridge of the Green Beetle :)
Now I guess I have been putting this off for a long time, because the bridge is usually the face of a starship, and so I wanted to do this right. Now my initial plan was to make a Bridge similair to the ones you see in ‘Star Trek’, and the result of that can be seen on the ships map above. So when I started on the actual room, I took that as a starting point and eventually ended up with this drawing.
But then I though...the Green Beetle is not a ship of science, instead it’s more a towing vessle. And I felt that the Bridge should reflect that as well. So I wanted to make the Bridge less refined, and added some more clunky devices to it. And well, then I came to this.
What I also did here, was changing the viewpoint a bit. In my first drawing you would look almost directly into space. But in this drawing, you are looking more into the room itself, and so space has become more of the background then the focal point.
Well, once I made up my mind, I started refing my (very) rough sketch. And right now, I’m almost done with the linework for this room.
You probably noticed the hammock in the room? There is a seperate story behind that. But I’ll let you discover that when you play the game :)

Absolutely! But she is part of the final story of the game, so it might be a while before we get to that :)
