Here is another update on what I've been working on!
So last week I've spend most of my time refining the the wrestle mini-game, as described in my previous post. And for this I made some full screen illustrations, as well as several HUD-elements for the mini-game itself.
And altogether, this is what I have now.
The idea for this mini-game is that you keep clicking on the bars at top. This will push the hands foreward. And by clicking faster then your opponent, you will eventually manage to 'take down' your opponent.
Now you're not really playing the girls here, but clicking on the bars represents encouraging them, by yelling positive things. And so your mouse will be a speech bubble here.
To give you a better idea of how this all works, I made a simple animation of the mini-game itself. I hope you like it!
Now as you can see, at the end there is a big illustration for the takedown. But this isn't the only one you'll get to see. Each match will in fact have 4 unique takedown-illustrations... Which are pretty fun to draw I must admit :)
Oh -and the girls are of course wrestling in classic olympic style, so there will be no training suits here!
All and all the whole minigame is shaping up nicely. But I still need to make some remaining elements, such as the character poses for the actual wrestling -and some vicory poses.
Lune will also be there - keeping track of the rounds & scores. So she'll need some extra poses as well.
Well... time to get drawing again :)

Could you take advantage of the phone's accelerometer? Players could shake the phone backwards and forwards really fast in their hands instead of tapping.

Thank you Kamz! And that's a great suggestion :) The tapping is always my default option, because it also has to work for mobile phones. But adding the extra keyboard buttons sounds good!

Love the updates, excited to see more about the strong wrestling gals. Might I offer an alternative to clicking on the bars? Because some people have hand or wrist issues. Maybe make it keyboard presses? Like tapping Left and Right arrows as fast as possible

I’m sure I’m not the only one to think this… it would be fun if as the referee, Lune was dragged into the action, occasionally. Even if for a bonus scene. Maybe one of the girls accidentally knocks her down or tugs on her uniform! (If she’s wearing a uniform). Could add some more humor and sexiness!

Hey Dave! Once they start training you can choose who to help out, and from there on you will be locked into that story. But once the matches are over, you can choose another character if you like, and support her :)

How do we decide which girl to root for? Is that our choice?
Once the loser has been pinned, will Keen get to choose which wrestler he 'rewards' or 'punishes' while they're both in compromising positions? It would be such a shame to waste such freely offer bounties. :3
