Art: Alien ship Observatory - final

Hey everyone!
a while back I showed you the sketches for Plork's Observatory, and today I finished the final versions.
So this is the first image I made, and here you can see three steps of the drawing proces.

Step 1 - My final sketch as shown before.
Step 2 -This is a version made by Marlies, where she seperated all parts and did a first translation of the sketch ( a great timesaver for me!)
Step 3 - Next I took that version, and detailed it till it matched the other rooms of the alien ship.
And this is the final result :)

So, you might notice I detailed the 'telescope' quite a bit compared to the sketch. And I added a layer of fog to the scene as well. I was hoping that this helps to clarify that this is supposed to be a rather big room. Ideally I'd also love to add Keen here as well (when you click on something), but I don't know if I'll have the time for that now...
Well, and this is the second image I made, again showing the same three steps of the drawing proces :)

So you get to see this close up, when you click on the computers in the first image. And I must say, I'm especially happy with how this image turned out. At first the image felt really cluttered, but once I moved the window in the back, the framing of everything suddenly got much better.

And if you look closly at both images, you can see that I also cheated a bit to get a better composition. The Doctors computers are actually at two different spots in both images, and in this image we should probably see more computer-consoles in the background as well. ...but by cheating I have much more room for Keen here :)
Well, I hope you like the results,
and I'll be sharing more art soon!
All the best
-Robin

Well, it's my pleasure Mikool! I love to make art for this game and I always enjoyed sharing the creation process :) The next post will also talk a bit more about my gamedesign choices, I hope you'll find that interesting as well. All the best! -Robin

Really great update as usual. It's really nice as consumers to see this kind of consistency and transparency from a developer like yourself, especially when we're supporting the development directly. It's a breath of fresh air compared to some other Patreon creators that I personally have had experience supporting, where they get more and more lazy as they get bigger. :)
