Location: Recovery Room, Healing Pod

This week I've been drawing the Recovery room. And here rests the girl that Lune saved in the intro; she's peacfully asleep, while healing from her injuries.
Now the Recovery room is part of the Medbay, and will become accessible once Keen gets the Doctors Keycard . So, it had to be drawn :)
Now previously I already made a sketch for this room, which you can see here:
... and so I used that to make this:
And here you can see the steps I took to get from A to B :)

Now to bring the room a bit more to life, I was planning to add some animation to this scene. And as part of that, the girl in the Healing pod will be floating a bit, while she is surrounded by bubbles.
But to create some more interaction in the scene, I was also considering the option to turn her around, using the steering wheel at the bottom of the pod... ehhh, to speed up her recovery of course.
But what do you think, is that a good idea? Please let me know :)

Hey Auburn Zero! It's cool that you think along like this! I also enjoy thinking a lot about these type of machines. But it's like Phantomponch says, the tube will be empty of fluid at some point and that's when the cushions will have a function -well spotted Phantomponch! And for the turn, I do need to draw more images. But drawing girls is one of my favorite things, so I don't mind doing that :) But I won't include the turn just yet, because this game-update requires me to spend my time elsewhere. My guess is that the cushions are for when you lay the patient inside or before you remove them from the pod after you’ve drained the fluid. The chamber is only filled with fluid while there is actual healing.

I like the idea of being able to rotate her in the pod, but that raises two issues. 1) it means more images for you to have to draw, which we love but are more work for you. 2) if she's floating, why does there appear to be cushions or a couch inside the pod? Those would seem to indicate a stationary position for the occupant. The steering wheel might instead be used to orient and insert, um, medical probes by turning and moving in/out. Either way, I'm loving the picture. Very nice!

While I completely know it's a lot of work, I'll definately enjoy more animations (especially for female bodies), but I guess I'm not alone on this... :p
