Hello again!
Here is just a quick update on the art progress I made. These are several new rooms, in different stages of completion.
1. On top you see the overview of the lounge, where I did the line work, flat colours & a first layer of shading.
2. In the middle you see a close up of a couch, where Hank and Rosa will sit for a while. This is just linework & flat colours. But I detailed the background already a bit; through the window we look back at keens room at the far end of the ship. It should make sense if you compare it to the ships map :)
3. At the bottom you see my rough sketch of the locker room, which is right before the spa. Here you can open a few lockers later on & make use of the intercom on the wall.

Well, as always, I'd love to hear what you think of it all!
All the best,
Robin
PS. I'm also working on some more sexy art, which I will reveal soon!

Impressive control of perspective, then! Thanks for sharing your workflow! :)

Thanks Adam, I also can't wait to see it all come together :) Things are going pretty smooth by the way, so I'm making good progress. Last update included a lot of fixes & the last groundwork of the game. But now that's all in things really seem to speed up :)

Really looking forward to the update.

Hey Joost, I actually never use 3D models. I just start with a rough sketch & then I google some reference pictures that match the concept/angle of my room. These pictures are just a guide, but they help me to add a bit of realism to the room. From there I refine the sketch. Then I create a perspective grid & with that as an ovelay, I clean up the sketch by inking everything in the right perspective. And that's it :)

Looking cool! :) Do you draw these directly, or do you start with a 3D model in Sketchup or something like that?
