Announcement: Expected delay on Shelter v19 build release
🕑 Added 2021-11-21 17:03:08 +0000 UTCAwoo mates! Raus here!
I'm texting you today to let you know in advance that build v19 of Shelter is going to suffer a significant delay in release this time. I expect it to be ready in the middle of December.
A bunch of stuff contributed to that. I don't have a team yet, and I have to write/draw/code/polish/test all of the assets on my own. I'm working on action scenes now, and they require more work than other types of scenes. V18 was similar and I wasn't able to release that update until the 2nd of November, completely exhausted. By the time I managed to get some rest, I already lost multiple days in this month.
We're going through a bunch of climactic scenes now and I want them to look pretty. I want two whole new separate full screen CGs for v19.
Also, I spent a few days this month implementing the optional censor settings to help streamers on youtube. It's a super new addition and you can check it out by downloading the currently posted build. It should be named "18.1".
Additionally, I'll be spending two whole days 30.11-01.12 travelling from Serbia back to Poland. Taking all of that into consideration, I know for sure I won't be able to finish v19 anywhere near the end of this month, and I wanted you all to know about that in advance.
If any of you is a Patron this month but won't be able to be in December, please poke me a DM about that on Discord after I post finished v19 here, and I'll send you that build there. You don't need to inform me in advance. Just do that when the build is ready :)
I'm sorry for this delay. I think you all know well that I want to get to the end of this route and the congratulatory knots as soon as possible, but I'm just one dog. I'm doing what I can.
I hope we'll all enjoy the build when it's ready!

Raus I would like to ask if all future versions will have censor mode? Or is it just 18.1?

You are a good doggo Mr. Vuffski and deserve all the rest you need.

Yes, we would rather like a proper scene than a rushed one. Also resting is important so. take your time! We will be here.

It's perfectly fine! You deserve some rest for your awesome work! I'll just think of it as an awesome Christmas present I get to unwrap on the break!

Thanks for letting us know! Relax, and take your time :) Its like they say, a delayed game is eventually good, while a rushed game stays forever rushed. What matters most is putting out an update YOU are happy with.

Take all the time you need, Raus! Good content is always worth the wait.
