New INVENTORY SCRIPT in progress!
🕑 Added 2023-01-31 14:29:16 +0000 UTCExcept working on ideas and scripts for tutorials, I've also been working on a new and arguably improved inventory script that will include some functionality that has been requested before! I thought I'd let my dear patrons and followers in on what it looks like so far and how it works! 😁
This inventory script will be available to patrons only (Supporter tier or higher), and will NOT be a drag & drop this time. To combine things, you will instead use an overlay menu (similar to the inventory tutorial I did) that has a gear button that allows you to choose another item to combine it with. Then there's of course also an "inspect" button which can be used to have a character say something about it.
Environment items include "locked containers" which needs to be combined with another item to be unlocked. Once unlocked you can do stuff like add items to the inventory or something else.
For this script, the overlay menu are available on items in the environment too. This menu is triggered by clicking the item first in the environment, but triggers on hover in the inventory.
There's not going to be a lot of Python functions in this one. To add an item to the inventory, you'd simply just have to use the append function with the list.
To have a pre-defined character say something about items is a lot easier now too. You simply use labels with dialogue using the character of your choice.
More details will come as this inventory script has been developed a bit more.

That looks good. I think the workflow how you combine the items very nice. Checked out your first version of the script and I am very excited about the new one. I also like the artwork in this tutorial. Is very lovely.
