In response to your apology for the schedule slipping, and assuming the apology is directed at your subscribers instead of yourself: your apology is (kindly, respectfully) rejected due to irrelevance, because, to me, when chapters are a little late or an author drops one or two from the schedule, it's a GOOD thing. Personally, selfishly, what I consider myself to be paying for as a subscriber isn't *actually* "$x a month in exchange for the product of two chapters a week, delivered monday and thursday". To me, it's actually more like "$x a month to help the writer of some of my absolute favorite fiction continue to write in a way that's sustainable." You write great long stories and I'm in it for the long haul. Personally, selfishly, I'm much more interested in this story, and the next one, and the one after that, being written at all than I am in them being written on time. Also? this is art, not medical care. Your readers aren't gonna die if it takes longer than expected. And, all else being equal, if a chapter's a day late but more polished for it, that's a *good* thing. Buyer-to-seller: better late than never. Human-to-human: take care of yourself <3

Jeff the cancer ridden threshholder searching each world for a cure or way to stave off the inevitable while experiencing character development growing from a sociopathic functioning psychopath and all around hoot to something resembling a regular everyday soppy git now faced with his ever present mortality would actual be a pretty compelling story lol… on second thought it’d need some relatability character changes but the cancer/impending death angle would be a pretty cool AU
