METRU NUI CALL OUT HELL YEAH!!

Ned

Heh my skin is still attached

Mr7ellow

That's just an advanced lod system tbh I'd say Minecraft does this best especially if you install sodium, which can change chunks to be 16x16x16 instead of 16x16x383 and it also has a chunk unloader installed so you could walk into the next chunk and the previous will be dumped into memory and then unloaded so you only render the current chunk.

Mr7ellow

Minecrafts engine could do a hive city very well. As long as you install a fast chunk unloader.

Harrowmaster Adeptus Darrian

BIONICLE MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️ LETS GOOOOOO also i cast another vote for Alpha Legion

Morgan Crane

Praise Mata Nui, BIONICLE is still being tked about in 2024. My original lore obsession.

Anthony Montoya

I love the random deep cuts Koda gives cause in no way did I think Bionicles would be mentioned

Battery Level Low

I'd love either video to be honest, I hope YouTube pulls enough weight to get that one in the game

Battery Level Low

I'm gonna guess main video, this was those 2-4 paragraph hives probably

Battery Level Low

Well I was wrong, but I love hive cities so this is definitely my favorite so far, oh well maybe I'll get to see my favorite subject at some point later Hydra Dominatus

DestinyHunter31

Unreal Engine has something kinda similar to what you were thinking about rendering. It's distance based. Example: say you were sanding next to a rock and you start to move away from it. As you move away from it the engine will lower the polygon count on that rock the further you get away from it. The opposite is also true as you move towards it. Fairly simplified from my understanding of the system but it's so cool

Morgan Crane

For Dark Mechanicum, against Deathwatch

Battery Level Low

So starting off, before I even get past the intro, there ain't no way this is just a hive city video

Louis

I can't believe you forgot the city where Cain grew up!

Amy Strong

Where is necromunda? Also great video.

Stefan25

Shiki Ren

How did you talk about well known Hive Cities without mentioning the ones on Necromunda?! Great vid regardless.

Josh Smith

Hey Y'all! If anyone is interested in seeing a Hive City represented as a setting, you should look up the Three Black Halflings podcast and their series "City of the Black Rose". It is self described as a "Gothic Horror series with strong Noir elements" and the setting is the City-State of Mavros: The City of The Black Rose. It is a city with three layers to it, all built on top of each other, and reminded me of a Hive City when I first listened to it described on the podcast. If you like D&D and want some magical steampunk gothic horror, please give it a try, I highly recommend it!

The hives makes me think of SLA industries. Now, there is a grimdark dystopia that rivals 40k. "Don't shoot civilians!" "why not?" "the paperwork it a chore" Also, I wonder if Shadows of Doubt could be a good platform to build a hiveworld.

Jakob Hjorth Hansen

A vote for future coverage: Yvraine and Ynnead The Exodites

Jakob Hjorth Hansen

Welcome back, guys 😊 Your podcast made me fork out for Rogue Trader on pc, AND actually understand what is going on

Mrytub

Hydra dominatus

Evgeni Puzankov

Not to be that guy, but did necromunda got channeled until the void?

Mitch Barton

If you liked the grudges that last for centuries vibes, you should really check out the movie Klaus!

Bảo Huỳnh

tertium just casually have 4 crackheads slaughtering thousands of heretics and miliion of infected every day is so funny to me

L4Lenny

You know we likely won't get the heresy video until we cover all the legions so a vote for the Emperors Children is really just helping to set up the many dominos required for The Great Video

DYLAN MONTGOMERY

Me frothing at the mouth waiting for this episode

Red

Morty's in the time-out jar for naughty moths. I wonder if Nurgle uses that jar like.............no....i shan't say it

The Godling

I'm still waiting on the Adeptus Arbites video

Gregory Sullivan

ECCLESIARCHY

Alden John bridges this is my full legal name

So everyone stop thinking now and vote for ecclesiarchy now if you don’t I will gut you like the night Lords and I know where all of you live and will find you

Michael Pommerer

The ecclesiarchy is definitely the Alpha Legion. If you think about it, it definitely makes sense. If you don't think about it, it makes even more sense.

Bored skulls

The Terminators will stomp all the way to the 12 hour Heresy video

Luke Morton

It's not just a "war machine" It's a "war home"

George Hall

40k Humans are the Skaven.

Seth Sollars

Thank you both for your hard work & effort, please be well, and avoid cars Koda, they are not your thing

I am Alpharius, maybe

Daddyssy

Pedro Pages

I love the Bionicle reference Koda! It's yeah a lot like Metru Nui, of the idea of what a Hive City is like 110%.

I am Alpharius, maybe

Ok, so after doing some weak math. On Terra alone, there is approximately one person per every sq ft

Waaaaaagh

I would not be surprised if both of these turn out to be true at the same time

Alden John bridges this is my full legal name

No it’s the ecclesiolocy

William

Ecclesiarchy plz

Max Ullrich

I vote for whichever topic sees the return of Poor Stooge. Or the pile of dust that used to be his younger brother, Rubric Marine Villorian Stooge of the Thousand Sons.
