So we do know what the result would have been if Pollux had stayed. When Pollux sent a boarding action to Perty's ship they were meant to be heavily reinforced with more Space Marines, Terminators and Dreadnoughts but due to Dorne recalling them, they were sadly abandoned but he understood (The guy leading the action). At the end of that, Perty was doing battle analysts and each time it was an Imperial Fist victory.

For reference with quantum entanglement, the two entangled particles don’t really interact directly as such as sci fi suggests. It’s more along the lines of: I have Box A and Box B, one of them has a Polux Fanfic inside, and one is empty. I know for a fact one has the fanfic, but haven’t checked either boxes. There is no way to tell the boxes apart externally, i.e. same weight/size, etc. For quantum particles, they both have the fanfic inside and are empty, until you check one of the boxes. Let’s say you open Box A and it has the fanfic inside, suddenly Box B must be empty. So if you open Box A you immediately know the state of Box B, even if it’s a million miles away. The weird bit is the whole both boxes contain the fanfic and are both empty until you look inside one of them. Anyway, hopefully that’s an ok explanation :)
