But with these monumental tasks comes the potential for great reward. This untitled painting by an unknown artist of Bacchus will require just a bit of everything we do in the studio, and while perhaps not the most complicated project we've encountered, it will demand, and demand, and demand once again. The question is will it be worth it?

So seeing how many pieces are in the store room made me wonder what is the average turn around time to get to someone's piece and return it? I realize it depends on a lot of variables but in general what do you tell potential clients?
Tape along the edges! I'm still hypersensitive to the use of tape after watching your paper conservation video. I often feel the sense of overwhelming-ness when you introduce the projects. Your explanation and close up filming of the scope of the damage compels me to this but also makes me interested in how you will solve the restoration. I now try to predict and formulate what you might be doing to solve the various issues. Good teaching 😉 Question: Has there ever been a time when you used the hot pressure table and afterwards a chip of original paint flaked off? What do you do in that case? I would assume maybe carefully realign the chipped off paint and do another hot table treatment? Or? Thank you Julian!
