She'd been up late working on a project, tearing her hair out over the details...her hamster over in its cage choosing now of all times to go for a nightly run on his wheel, while she was trying to concentrate. Before she could yell at him to settle down, her emergency radio lit up of its own accord, spewing a cryptic message about strange changes happening to people. The announcer's voice devolved into squawks and grunts while she listened...then she heard the same from outside her window, people moaning and yelling, followed by their cries fading into barks and animalistic roars.
And then it came for her...the strange mist crept into her room, and light-colored fur spread across her body, which bloated and filled out, her physique altering forever...her hamster squeaked and chittered as she watched her hands and feet shift into rodent paws. Her face pushed out into a cute muzzle...a hamster's muzzle...she was turning into an overgrown hamster. And...without warning, her nether regions were roiling and churning, demanding a mate...she groaned, her voice sounding more and more like her pet's...
