The Porkening
🕑 Added 2024-10-09 02:00:42 +0000 UTCEveryone remembers the Porkening...those who experienced it firsthand have fought to have the official name changed to something less insensitive, but it's difficult to stop the momentum on such things.
Picture a normal day, in a normal city...when out of the blue, in the distance you hear panicked squeals and grunting. You look around for the source of the sound, soon discovering groups of citizens who seem to be ballooning with weight, shedding their ruined clothes, as their faces twist into porcine snouts. Everywhere you look, people are turning into pigs...and not just that, some men seem to be growing breasts, and some women are contending with new bulges in their pants. It spreads without rhyme or reason, and in a moment you feel your own body rippling as well, and add your voice to the throngs of others crying out in confusion. Eventually it ends as suddenly as it began, leaving you and your neighbors at a loss for how to deal with this bizarre situation.
The world does its best to move on...scientists ask why, but never find sufficient answers, and meanwhile a new class of people contends with new challenges, as the rest of society quietly judges them for a fate they never asked for...
