The Temple of the Pig
🕑 Added 2024-07-25 03:51:57 +0000 UTCWhat a strange temple...it seemed to have been devoted to pigs, of all things. She knew that livestock had held special importance to early societies, but had never come across anything like this. The statues lining the walls were unnerving...humanoid pig women, their hooves made of solid gold. Possibly fertility-related, she mused. Once she got an anthropological team in here, they might be able to learn more.
She tugged at her shirt, peeling it off her sweat-soaked skin. The jungle was always muggy, but it felt extra warm in here. Trudging through the halls, the statues seemed to grow more obscene and sexual the further she went. She even thought she could hear a soft grunting...no, she DID hear grunting! But...when she held her breath to listen, it stopped, and resumed whenever she relaxed...
With growing apprehension, she glanced down at her trembling hands, and was unable to ignore the bulge before her eyes, or the way her fingernails were thickening...
