Inexplicably, goat!
🕑 Added 2024-07-31 01:44:31 +0000 UTC"H-heeelp, nnaaaahhh!" she bleated, clacking around on unfamiliar hooves.
It was a long drive home after visiting family. At midnight, she noticed a fast food chain she'd never heard of that still had its lights on, so she pulled in for a quick snack. It took a long time for the lone employee to notice her, and he disinterestedly took her order with a scowl. She didn't blame him...it was perfectly normal to hate your job on the late shift. After passing her the milkshake she ordered, he disappeared again somewhere in the back.
She sipped her shake, hoping the sugar rush would help keep her awake for the remainder of the drive. It tasted a little off, but not bad enough to stop drinking. What did cause her to drop it abruptly was when she suddenly lost sensation in her fingers, and felt a draft...when she looked down at herself, a scream caught in her throat. Somehow, she was nude...nude and furry...and endowed in several ways. She stumbled backwards, bleating, her body and voice unfamiliar...how was this possible?! What had happened to her?
In the midst of her flailing and crying, she was startled by the voice of the employee again. "Miss, could you keep it down? It's been a long day." She rushed to cover herself with her arms, whirling to face him...only to find that...he was also a goat. A tired-looking nude goat, the same as her. He rolled his eyes and wandered off again.
Was she going insane? Had the whole world changed? Had she slipped through some kind of wormhole into an alternate universe?!
She stood there, panting, shivering...trying to make sense of her situation...and wondering whether she ought to try and finish her milkshake.
