You dirty dog
🕑 Added 2024-06-01 03:52:46 +0000 UTCEvery day she slips further...
It was only a few weeks ago that your girlfriend accidentally broke that antique dog statue, the one that turned out to have a curse. The shop owner almost seemed more mortified than either of you did as he quietly explained what she was about to go through...the slow descent into dogdom. She might stay on two legs, but she'd never be the same again. In the following days, the two of you more or less speed-ran the stages of grief as you watched her nose darken and her ears shifting and migrating upward. She made you swear to stick with her the whole way, something you never had any intention of NOT doing.
It was...weird, to say the least, certainly an adjustment, to recognize her familiar features underneath the growing fur and muzzle. Her mannerisms shifted, but were still characteristic...the way she used to worry, now punctuated by a canine whine. The way she used to get excited, now more breathless and panting. And excitement became an adjustment all its own, as she admitted to feeling uncomfortably needy, down below...you did your best to help her with that.
Now when you came home, she was waiting for you excitedly...it was obvious she'd spent the day in the backyard digging and rolling around, and hadn't thought to shower. As she looked back at you though, you couldn't resist that face.
