The proprietor gave her a creepy grin when she ordered a Coke, but when he said it was on the house, she shrugged it off as a friendly gesture from someone who didn't know how off-putting they came across.
It was like no Coke she'd ever tasted before...the carbonation was cranked up and stung her throat, which didn't help when it went down the wrong pipe and she started coughing. And coughing, and coughing...some of her coughs began to sound oddly strained and bestial, until her throat cleared and rang out with a loud, long bray. She covered her mouth in shock, only to feel hard keratin against her rubbery lips. Her body was lengthening and shifting, becoming more and more hairy...more desperate brays issued from her throat, and she didn't even notice the diner's owner approaching with a bridle...
