Chapter 90: An Era Stranger Than Imagination III
.................
His Kiryu Hasshoken has evolved to become something it's not supposed to, becoming eerily similar to one if not the strongest Devil Fruit in the world! Its evolution gave him even more hope for the Everless Crows.
They both vanished at the same time, leaving behind a sonic bomb with just how fast they were, but it became clear to Yovan that Kuma was many times faster than him.
It was somewhat of a surprise considering he was not only a thin shroud of feathers to control himself, allowing him to be much faster, but he also used Kiryu Hasshoken in combination with Soru.
Yovan was forced to scatter, using his awakening to appear from one of the feathers around the destroyed Pacifistas.
What followed were sound bombs resounding throughout as the process was repeated many times, all because Kuma was sending devastating shockwaves toward all the feathers around.
'He is repelling himself?' Yovan mused, realizing how Kuma was moving at such a monstrous speed. He was using his Devil Fruit somehow to repel his form towards him. It was simple but dangerous.
So Yovan switched to the offensive as he created a large feather before him, isolating him from the incoming Kuma. The latter still continued with two palm strikes, releasing shockwaves that traveled through the feather.
However, with their level of defense, non-direct contact wouldn't do much... Well, no as at the same time, Yovan focused all of his Armament Haki into his hand before punching in front.
Kuma tried to retreat, feeling his sense of danger ringing like crazy, and he did repel himself back a bit, but the effect of the punch still reached him for from the punch spurted cracks.
They were no normal cracks, but the condensation of numerous vibrations to the point that it was breaking the fabric of space.
The blurry cracks in space spread out for about a hundred meters before Yovan, leaving the surroundings in ruins.
He leaped toward Kuma directly after, vanishing only to appear above him with a punch, completely ignoring the two small bubbles that appeared on Kuma's hands, resembling Paw-Prints.
For minutes to come, all the people of the Archipelago heard were loud explosions, sound bombs, and crackling sounds, deafening sounds.
The Island's citizens could only hide in terror until Yovan chose to stop as he leaped back, "Interesting," He murmured as he lifted his hand high, "It works like this, so if I do this, then this will be..."
Kuma narrowed his eyes, soon turning wide as Yovan started slowly but surely closing his hand, cracks forming around it.
His purpose was somewhat achieved, creating a ball of pure pressure in his hand. Well, it wasn't just pressure but also vibrations.
The vibrations were on the outside, creating the ball's outer former while the inside was compressed air, way too compressed.
"It's a bit unstable," Yovan noted as he threw the ball in the air, and the moment it left his hand, it exploded, ravaging the surroundings. The sound of it was heard through the Archipelago.
However, Yovan was nowhere to be seen. Kuma was left there alone without much of a change in his expression. He just turned around and vanished.
Yovan was already on his Ship, tending to Seizon No Hono first as he took a seat on the Crow's head, "You survived, and you came back stronger, huh?"
He traced his finger along the crow's head, trying to sense any hidden emotions in there... The Ship felt alive to him, seemingly responding to him, "We always survive." He murmured.
"I figured it out, Cap! I have a scar on my face!" Laffitte was suddenly standing behind him with an excited look, "You may not be able to see it, but it's there! I think that's why I was auctioned for only a hundred thousand Beli!!"
"Oh, you figured it out, huh?" Yovan shook his head with a smile of amusement.
"You believe me?" Laffitte's eyes widen in shock. They even started tearing up as he continued, "That ugly hag Kalifa didn't want to believe me at all!!!"
"Ah?" Directly after, Laffitte found his face planted on the ground as he slipped.
"Now you'll have a better excuse for why you were auctioned for only a HUNDRED THOUSAND BELI!" Before he knew it, Kalifa was standing behind him with an annoyed look on her pale face.
"You old ha..." Before he could finish his words, Laffitte found his face planted on the ground again as Yovan gently tapped him on the head, very gently.
"Tell me about your Devil Fruit," Yovan said as he eyed Kalifa.
"Awa Awa no Mi, a Paramecia type Devil Fruit that allows me to emit and control soap and bubbles, borrowed it from my previous job," Kalifa responded with a giggle.
"Borrow, huh?" Yovan smiled as he shook his head, not questioning her any further. He didn't even ask about her previous job, working at the Cipher Pol. He saw no need to.
"I will explore its depths when we start training," Those words would've normally driven chills down their spine, but his next words somewhat negated that as he stood up and announced to the sky, "For now, to the New World we go!!"
The only thing missing from the picture was what Laffitte just picked up and gently placed on Yovan's shoulders, a Cape.
Yovan's previous Cape was long gone, destroyed in the Fall Massacre. In fact, he instructed Laffitte to make him a new one, knowing that it might get destroyed.
In contrast to the other one, this Cape was inky black with golden embellishments through its upper part and edges.
The Strangers talked and talked, about a lot of things, catching up. It was a cozy night, but Bege wasn't there to relax with them, something they talked about.
Capone Bege is in the New World. He's been there for a while now, taking up his role as one of the Emperors of the Underworld.
The Underworld scene is mainly popular in the New World. It's where all the Emperors reside, and a place of thousand fortunes, but million deaths. Such a place is exactly where the underworld prevails and flourishes.
Seizon No Hono sailed away for days, and in the middle of the night, Yovan woke up, vanishing from his chamber.
A single feather flew in the opposite direction, breaking the sound barrier by far. Along with the use of his Hasshoken as well as pushing himself way too much, it took him only a day to fly back to the Archipelago.
It was a bright time of the day, and despite what took place in the Archipelago just days ago, the Island was still very much booming, crowded with people.
In fact, it was more packed than ever as people assembled at the news of the Stranger's appearance. He was that famous.
The two World Nobles, however, were still unhappy, befitting of their status as the most spoiled of kids despite being on their deathbeds.
They took it upon themselves to go out around and shop for slaves. Well, the Auction House has been closed, so it was more like just forcing citizens to be their slaves.
Yovan appeared from the dark feather hidden amidst the clouds, dark and golden burning lines were running along his skin, a sign of his Awakening.
Almost instantly, he enveloped himself in a shroud of fire, straining the flames directly against his skin, but the flames harmed him not one bit.
It was like the warm embrace of a lovely morning sun, but he knows just how hot his flames are.
He made sure to hide himself completely to the extent of being unrecognizable even by those with Observation Haki.
"Huh? Fire?"
"So golden! Be my slave! No, you are my slave!!"
"Em! we can discipline the peasants at home better with such a slave!!"
Before Yovan stood the two World Nobles with their guards, looking up to his shrouded fiery eyes, but all he did was throw a black paper to their feet, ignoring their silly words.
Do World Nobles even know the word danger? They've never in their entire life faced any difficulty. They never expect to face any difficulty at all for they see themselves as Gods!
They see the world as their playground, and everyone to be beneath them, so why should they feel fear or see danger? All they saw was a strange piece of dirt, just a luminous one.
The scene around only worked to validate their God syndrome, the scene of numerous individuals kneeling as they were passing through.
It's known to all that if a World Noble is walking by, you should kneel and plant your forehead on the ground in worship for they are Gods.
And why should they think otherwise when there is not a single precedent of World Nobles getting hurt? It was something unheard of because just touching one of them means the summoning of a Marine Admiral!!!
From the depths of the fiery flames sounded a very fuzzy voice, "This should be interesting, An Era Stranger Than Imagination."
And before the guards could even do anything, the fiery figure stretched its flamy hand, catching the Lady World Nobles by her head.
"AhH? Ah? AHHHHHHHHH!HHH!HH!HHH!H!!!!!!!" Ashes, the World Noble has been turned to ashes. the World has just witnessed an unprecedented event, the eradication of a World Noble.
Her harsh screams seemingly resounded in everyone's ears infinitely, like she was still being tortured by fire despite the clear ashes before them.
The World Noble was dead, but no one could believe it, not the guards, not the kneeling individuals, not one of the strongest pirates in the world, or a former pirate. The World was silent.
