Chapter 75: I Can Not Die If I Just Survive
.................
The Stranger's reality, however, was stranger than imagination as Yovan lunged at Maha's throat with his mouth opened wide... Today was an odd day for the World.
He bit on his throat only to feel his teeth crunching, getting broken by Maha's Armament Haki. Even in such a situation, he still kept his composure enough to react and use Armament Haki on his neck.
But Yovan simply didn't care as his hand touched Maha's chest at the same time. Yovan shook, and so did Maha.
Lucci could see cracks spreading through the air from Yovan's hand, seemingly going through Maha, making the latter spill blood.
Yovan seemed so lost in his maniac mind state to the point that he further headbutted him as hard as he can before Scattering, narrowly evading Lucci's Rokuogan.
The monster wasn't done as one of the feathers of the fallen was on the brink of reaching Maha from the back only for Yovan to appear through it.
The Dance Of The Fallen basically allows him to retain the same speed as that of the feather before appearing through it.
The shockwave headbutt made Maha too dizzy, and Lucci tried to move him out of the way, but Yovan was a bit too chaotic in his current move as he simply collided with Maha without doing much.
He also seemed to be in a daze, seemingly losing consciousness, but the deep fire in his eyes didn't allow him so as he opened his eyes wide, a hand of feathers working to bring Maha closer.

Yovan was like a barbarian as he sought to bite Maha's nose off with whatever teeth he had left, all while releasing shockwave after shockwave from his hand to keep him dizzy.
He didn't need eyes to see for his Observation Haki was trained to a ridiculous degree. He could see all that he needed to survive, and that's all that mattered.
He could even see Maha's Armament Haki emerging on his face to protect him, so Yovan kneed Maha to the balls with a shockwave attack so strong it released a burst that almost threw Lucci away.
Just almost as Lucci went on to chew on Yovan's neck, seemingly mimicking him. The latter seemed to be aware enough to move just barely enough so as to not die.
"Just fucking die!!!!" Lucci screamed at the top of his lungs.
But Lucci was still able to take off a large chunk of flesh, and even land a Shigan on Yovan's back before he was thrown away by a wave of feathers along with Yovan's wings.
"Why did you lose your control over your Observation Haki?" Yovan murmured as he punched Maha right in the face, releasing a shockwave that slightly ignored his Armament Haki and shook his brain.
"That was the reason for your death. If you just wished to survive as much as I do, then you'll surely not die." Yovan shook his head as he stood up only to fall back on his knees.
"Hm?" His Observation Haki allowed him to see the state Lucci left him in with his Shigan. There was a deep hole in his back, and it was almost reaching his heart, "It's not that bad."
[Willpower: 1700/∞]
His words seemingly brought him the Will to stand up again much to Lucci's absolute horror, "Why Don't You Just die!??"
"Hm? Yahahahahaha," It seemed as if Yovan heard something funny, "How Can I Die If I Just Survive?"

[Absolute Survivor?]
Rob Lucci didn't feel like he can move. He almost felt petrified and afraid for the first time in his life.
He looked around to see nothing but death as far as he can see, and he can see far and beyond.
He can see the Buster Call ships far away, and if he wondered why they didn't provide any support, the bodies scattered through the ships gave it away.
The entirety of the Buster Call was exterminated, and Lucci absolutely had no idea how... Was Yovan using his feathers to eliminate the Buster Ships while fighting them at the same time?
Lucci had to wonder, especially as he noted that Yovan didn't use many feathers against them for the entirety of the battle... Just how??
A simple glance at the chaotic battlefield brought even more terror to him. He was so focused on Yovan that he ignored everything else.
They were somehow fighting amidst destruction. The area was horrifyingly disfigured, with blood and death everywhere as well as the tears of Seizon No Hono, a Ship hanging to life by a thread.
Seizon No Hono would certainly be a disappointment if didn't survive, but the fire in Yovan's eyes seemingly gave it life.
Only now did Lucci see the bodies of his own fellows. They weren't too close to each other. They were raised that way.
They were gathered at childhood and trained both physically and mentally to become powerful killers, discarding emotions in order to become more efficient in missions.
But every one of them felt some kind of emotion today, especially him as he looked at the scattered body parts all around, pools of blood, broken heads, a heart dancing on blood.
And he looked at himself, seeing blood trailing all over his hybrid form. It wasn't only his blood. No, it was mostly Yovan's blood, yet it was Lucci who found it hard to stand.
Rob Lucci looked up to see Yovan standing before him, standing high. The entirety of his state seemed like a broken mess.
Yovan's skin was crimson with his own blood. Lucci could see bones protruding from Yovan's body, and he could see many holes, and cavities across his body, yet here he is standing before him.
But most interesting of all, Lucci could see golden flames in Yovan's destroyed eyes. His eyes were a mess, one seeming like a vacant hole while the other wasn't as badly damaged.
But without exception, there was a golden fire deep inside, burning brighter by the second... It was real.
"Pfftt Yahahaha, you're funny." Yovan chuckled as he eyed a dazed Lucci. He literally took like a minute to walk toward him while the man was in a trance, looking about.
And now, he was standing before him, yet he just stood there petrified. It made Yovan wonder, "Why are people so weird?"
Lucci didn't have time to comprehend Yovan's words as a shockwave slap to the face sent him to the ground.
Rob Lucci was truly lucky because if he had time to understand Yovan's words, he would've committed suicide. Just who is the weird one in this situation?
"I feel a bit dizzy," Yovan stumbled his steps towards Lucci again, his disastrous state finally catching up on him, "But I have to kill you."
Lucci found just about a dozen vibrating feathers buried in his chest as he was finally awakened from his stupor.
He eyed Yovan with fear, but the latter could also see the desire to survive in there, and so, a desperate brawl started.
Something akin to a sonic bomb continuously resounded throughout the surroundings as Yovan punched and slapped Lucci with shockwaves.
All the while, Lucci kept punching the latter and punching, desperately trying to survive, but there was absolutely no technique in his attacks. It was all forgotten.
Perhaps that was the reason that Yovan didn't mind getting hit that much, but he certainly didn't allow Lucci to leave unscathed as before the latter noticed it, he found the entirety of his body decorated with numerous feathers, all digging deep in his body.
All the strength Lucci could muster was put into one last punch that sent Yovan rambling away, but the latter stood up again, 'I'm on the verge of death... Perfect, but I have to finish now.'
Whatever he was planning mustn't make much sense as he stumbled towards Lucci, the latter finding himself on his knees, unable to move.
Lucci gave up on life as a slap to the safe planted his face to the ground. Yovan looked at his hand while blinking, "Hm? My Hand is broken? No, my entire arm is broken?"
He fumbled his arm around, feeling it moving all kinds of ways as a shroud of feathers surrounding it, allowing him to have control over it again.
It then started shaking, giving birth to a thundering sphere of pure chaos, the strongest yet.
Kiryu Hasshoken had some kind of improvement, Yovan could feel it just as much as he felt his bones turning to dust. Using it was too demanding from his body, "It kinda hurts."

He murmured but continued nonetheless even as he felt himself burning. He simply ignored everything else as his punch started making its way to Lucci.
Gravels were thrown everywhere. The sound of collision was so resounding it almost broke Lucci's ears. He thought he was dead. He should be dead.
However, before him was an old man, a tall, tanned, broad-chested, muscular old man with a beard and a scar over his left eye.
The man's clothing told him that he was definitely a Marine, a high-ranking Marine, but his brain wasn't working well to make sense of things.
The old man, however, was very childish as he knocked on Yovan's head, "Well said, well said. You can not die if you just survive! Hmm, I'm taking that... Hey Hey, why did you pass out?"
Lucci was pretty sure the Marine before saved him by punching Yovan to the ground, so it was very much confusing to him why he was asking such a question, and a voice to the side seemed to agree.
"Childish."
The Old Man's smile left him as he stood up and turned his face to face a tall middle-aged man with spiky black hair with a widow's peak and a tattoo on the left side of his face, which is colored dark red, dressed in a long green cloak.
Two of the most renowned people in the World have just met, and they were closer to each other than most might believe.
