Chapter 74: Why Don't You Just Die!!?
.................
Blueno pretty much welcomed him into his dimension. His Awakening can basically allow him to use any of the Scatter feathers in his perception, and opening a door right next to his legs did the job.
Their mistake was ever thinking that something would go unnoticed by his mind or his Observation Haki. His survival instincts were pushing it to such a degree that his mind started to hurt, so painful that even he was finding it hard to bear.
When Furokou was putting the Seastone cuffs on him, Yovan slipped a single feather into the Door dimension, and he was able to appear there through it.
And unluckily for Blueno, he chose to hide in his dimension after Yovan's shockwave attack, thus coinciding with Yovan appearing exactly behind him.
And now, as Blueno fell to the ground, Yovan found himself standing in the real world again. The death of the Devil Fruit user canceled its effects, thus Maha and Rob Lucci got to see Blueno's dead body for themselves.
They were speechless, especially as Maha eyed the Seastone that seem to be in direct contact with Yovan's ankle, "How???"
"Hm? You didn't sense it? Your Observation Haki isn't that accurate, huh?" Yovan murmured as he eyed the cuff. It was hidden, but there were feathers isolating it from touching his skin.
For months now, he kept wearing Seastone bracelets, but he never hoped to gain complete immunity against the material.
His goal was very specific with the bracelets, and he somewhat succeeded. Now, only time can tell how much success he had.
"I feel wonderful," Yovan murmured as his attention turned to his body, seeing the state their Rokuogan left him in... Yet, "Yahahaha, it's funny! Yahahahaha."
He was entertained by his own self as he basked in the fire of his deep desire to survive, so deep they could swear there was actually fire in his eyes.

They could only gawk at Yovan's state as they wondered how he can function. His waist seemed like much, and they could clearly see bones protruding from his side, blood pouring down like a waterfall.
There was even a big hole to the left of his waist, something supposed to declare his death, but he just shrugged it off as he started walking towards Jabra, "You'll die next."
Maha side-glanced at Jabra to see a bit of fear on his face. The man before them has just eliminated most of the CP9, 'We tried to overestimate him, but... Such a monster has to die.'
Maha also started walking toward Yovan as he threw his mask to the side, showing everyone the entirety of his face, nothing too weird except for his wide mouth reaching his ears.
Previously, only a small part of his mouth could be seen, but now, his teeth or fangs were clear for all to see because between each fang, there was an inky needle, a color similar to his hands.
Maha was using Armament Haki, "Lucci, keep an eye for opportunities, and especially keep an eye on Jabra..."
Maha wanted to continue, but he was interrupted by Lucci who coldly responded, determination apparent in his tone, "No... I want to fight. I will fight."
"Are you gonna refuse my orders? You know the consequences, do you not?" Maha questioned with killing intent reeking off his voice.
But Lucci wasn't shaken off, not one bit, "I want to kill him, no matter the consequences... He's mine." He stressed as he made his way to Yovan, the two almost coming face to face by this point.
Yovan was just a little bit taller than Lucci, so they were almost perfectly lined up, both able to see the clear fire in them.
There was a fire of destruction, the desire to eliminate all that stands before him, and there was an overwhelming desire to survive.
"I will kill you," Lucci stated, emotions clear in his eyes, raging emotions.
Yovan wasn't sure what he had done to make an emotionless assassin so emotional, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was, "You have to die for the painting to truly be perfect."
Yovan's words confused Lucci, but he didn't get to contemplate them much as the Stranger let out a burst from his mouth, somehow releasing a shockwave that was easily ignored by the assassin with a simple Tekkai.
It's one of the six techniques of "Rokushiki" that allows superhuman defense as Lucci's muscles faintly hardened, allowing him to ignore the weak shockwave.
It was merely an appetizer as Yovan Scattered into feathers, evading Maha who just appeared behind him, seemingly trying to bite his head off.
Still, Yovan appeared right next to Lucci, his hand going for the latter's head only to be easily evaded.
Lucci even largely ignored the shockwave released from Yovan's hand despite it being much stronger.
[Shigan!] Lucci timed his Shigan with Maha releasing Armament needles at Yovan while slashing at him.
Yovan just was way too slow physically, so he had to rely on his Devil Fruit a lot, especially as appeared next to the horrified Jabra.
Perhaps the fear in the hybrid wolf made him too petrified to evade Yovan as he simply rested his leg on him, the leg with the Seastone, and well, Jabra fell to the ground powerlessly.
His hybrid form started receding, and his body became weak enough for a stomp of shockwave to almost breaking through his thick defense.
[Rokuogan!!]
If that wasn't enough, Yovan Scattered again, evading Lucci's deadly attack only to appear rotating in the air above Jabra with a crackling sphere of pure destructive shockwave in his hand.
The spherical shockwave safely found its place diving into Jabra's head before the latter can regain any strength.
The consequences of going through with the attack however were a deep slash on his back, and a hole just a tiny bit beside his heart as Yovan found himself send rambling through the ground.
That and just about a dozen small holes throughout his body, all due to Maha's Hardened Needles.
Maha and Lucci both noticed something. As long as their attacks don't have certainty in killing him, Yovan will allow himself to be hit for a trade.
"Just... Just what are you doing???!!!!" Lucci allowed emotions to take over him as he saw Yovan stand up again while seemingly holding back a laugh?
Rob Lucci was simply confused. Just what happened today? What happened couldn't have possibly been reality, right? The man before him isn't actually walking toward them as if nothing happened, right?
Lucci's emotional outburst was understandable even to Maha as emotions started to seethe very deep in his eyes.
"Not enough... I feel a bit too good." Yovan murmured. His state was still not shitty enough for him much to the duo's absolute stupefaction.
'To survive, I will need to be a lot more fucked up than now...' Yovan mused, but logic didn't follow.
[Devil Fruit: Kakin Kakin no Mi, Model: Crow (Awakened): 999.99/∞]
Perhaps his brain wasn't working properly as he reached out gently to hold Lucci's head, waking the due from their stupor.
They realized that they've been affected too much by their own emotions, but nothing could save them from what was to come.
Arguably, the CP9's greatest help was dead, Blueno. His Devil Fruit was simply too monstrous, and it should've in theory been able to help eliminate Yovan in no time.
Alas, it was Yovan's time to go after the duo, his state further affecting his speed as he seemingly reaches out to them slowly, but they still couldn't hit him.
His Awakening was too peculiar, and he made sure to get rid of all those who made it hard for him to make use of it.
"Hmm, Dance Of The Fallen," Yovan murmured as he swung his arm as well as his newly created feather arm, releasing a burst of very special feathers.
The quivering feathers elevated above him, erupting at an astonishing speed as if something exploded behind them, sending them flying.
And befitting of the move's name, they started dancing about, but they didn't attack. Instead, Yovan walked toward Maha specifically, basically dominating the battlefield.
He had to force them to attack him, but they were perhaps afraid? It made Yovan a bit annoyed as he said, "Losers. Before you stand a man at his Deathbed, yet you're shaken?"
He shook his head as he eyed Maha specifically, "Your Haki doesn't seem to have helped you become any less of a coward, No? Why are you afraid of death when you can simply survive?"
At that exact moment, three feathers erupted toward Maha whose eyes quivered with rage for but a split second.
In that split second, Yovan emerged from one of the feathers, moving with the same speed it was moving, hoping that his taunts were able to fuck up Maha's Observation Haki.
Maha found his head shaken, dizzy, and almost unconscious as he was slapped with two quaking hands, one stronger than the other.
The feather hand didn't feel as brutal, but Yovan's real hand would've turned his brain to mush if he didn't use Armament Haki.
"WHy??!!" Maha's mouth trembled as he questioned, but a completely blind Yovan didn't stop even as he barely evaded a Shigan from Lucci.
"WHy DOn't you just Die!!!???" Lucci followed Maha's example as he screamed, readying another Rokuogan.
Maha thought he knew Yovan's weakness... His eyes. He truly believed Yovan wouldn't allow himself to lose another eye because he know about his love for Art and painting things.
The Stranger's reality, however, was stranger than imagination as Yovan lunged at Maha's throat with his mouth opened wide... Today was an odd day for the World.

Man what a crazy decision to willingly go blind. Hopefully you don't give his eyes back as it will lower the impact of losing sight. In another note best pain endurance in one piece maybe only ussop and zorro can endure a fraction of this.
Yeah, he went through a lot, so there was bound to be a massive change in his personality, and don't worry, his Devil Fruit will stay within the domain of crows.

It's funny seeing how yovans character is completely different from his character while on the island. Also this bad memory stuff was an odd addition. Though I love all these flaws of his. I just hope, the the infinite progression of his devil fruit doesn't turn into a darkness phoenix. I hope he stays a crow. Just becoming more unique of a crow himself.
