August 2022 update 2 - just when you think things can't get any worse...
🕑 Added 2022-08-22 17:13:25 +0000 UTCSo, I recently I received a large packet from my homeowner's insurance company; due to my other problems that I've been trying to deal with recently, I put it aside until this morning.
I opened up the packet, and found that my premiums had increased by nearly 350%. My state of mind is already in a precarious spot as it is - something like this I REALLY don't need in my life with all the other stuff that's been going on over the past few months - but it's an issue I'm going to have to deal with by next month somehow if I want to keep a roof over my head...
On top of that, I'm pretty much convinced after over three weeks of taking it, the Prozac I've been prescribed hasn't done anything to help with my near-constant anxiety. Also, I'm down to a single tablet of Ativan, which is the only medication that's given me any tangible relief over the past two weeks. And if that's not all, I had an appointment with my doctor today that's been pushed by to tomorrow. Oh, and there are the additional hospital and doctor bills that are still incoming...
So, to be blunt, unless I (somehow) manage to deal with all of this and come out in one piece, don't expect to see anything in the way of new artwork anytime soon. Also, any thought of commissions at this point is laughable - I am in no state to do any commission work, or drawing, period - and even then, what I'd gain financially from such would pale in comparison to the tidal wave of bills I'm facing....
To those that have enjoyed my work and to those that have requests that I'm currently working or have pending, I'm sorry.
Take care.
