First ever backpacking trip! 🎒 And life updates . . .
🕑 Added 2022-06-28 05:27:44 +0000 UTCThis past weekend I escaped with my B to the forest for both of our’s first ever backpacking trip! It was the exact pause I needed with everything that’s been going on in life lately and I’m so proud of us for doing the thing!
There was a ton of laughter, some tense moments due to exhaustion from the heat (but we got through), making new friends around the camp fire who thankfully helped us replenish our water supply, and some trepidations encounters with loose rocks, mud, and suspended logs which are not my jam.
All that and we’re already keen to plan our next one! This time hopefully staying for a couple nights and having some friends come with.
Anyway, Life stuff and why I’ve been MIA everywhere . . .
- still trying to buy a house (made an offer but no cigar)
- Landlords are being dicks and trying to evict me without cause
- B is also getting evicted (due to their family needing the unit so legit but still, stress)
- Volunteer gig almost had all the funding and support pulled, now is back on BUT I’m leading this year for the first time annnnd it’s two weeks out and nothing is finalized 🤦🏻♀️
- Still riding horses, working out 3x a week, climbing and all that jazz
- And I’m the primary on the three top priority projects at work. No big deal 🙄
I’m tired, and have been so stressed I don’t have much left for connections outside my key day to day people here at home.
