On Lockdown
🕑 Added 2020-03-25 22:00:28 +0000 UTCHey y’all! I hope you’re well and staying safe out there. As I’m sure you’re aware, COVID-19 has reached the states. My state of Minnesota has declared a shelter-in-place order that has essentially put the whole state on lockdown effective March 27-April 10.
This doesn’t effect my ability to work much since my studio is in my home, but part of this lockdown is a ban on leaving your home for non-essential jobs. (Insert joke here how gay porn is most certainly essential) My assistant plays a big role in the production of all my comics, so naturally the fact that they can’t come over will affect this. 90% of our work is done digitally and remotely, but Avialae is finished in traditional inkwash in person.
I don’t really want to cut back on pages, so my plan is to release Avialae pages as inks only for at least the next two weeks. Public pages will see this effect in a few weeks when these pages go public obviously. Once the lockdown is lifted we will catch up with the inkwash. I will keep you updated as the situation evolves.
The Hunt and Occultus pages will not be affected by this since those are both done digitally. However, the printer I use for the NSFW postcards has been closed due to the outbreak. They plan to reopen in April, but again it depends on how this thing develops. I’ll still post the digital version of the March NSFW postcard once it’s finished, but physical rewards will be delayed until April, possibly May depending on how backed up my printer is when they reopen. This will also affect the first Occultus book printing since my book printers are also closed.
Andd conventions: Anime Detour has been cancelled so I will not be tabling there. Hopefully the other cons I’ve been confirmed for will stay on schedule, but again this all depends on how this pandemic plays out here. (These cons are AniMinneapolis, MechaCon, and Otakon if you’re wondering.)
TLDR; State is on lockdown, pages will still post as usual sans inkwash until the lockdown is lifted, physical rewards delayed until printers reopen.
Stay safe everyone!

I appreciate you still working through all this! My state just started shelter in place Tues but I'm in retail so I'm 'essential'. Seeing pages will help lift my spirits a bit :3
