The first time I saw dead Nell in the background I yelled. So well done.

The way they filmed this episode was really interesting. They built the sets so that they led naturally into each other, and that was how they were able to do the one shots of Hugh walking from the funeral home and into the house. In total, the episode comprises of five long takes. The actors had to rush behind things and then back to their blocking spots in order to get everything to look right. Then of course it's also a great episode on an emotional level. Even with everything that is messed up and complicated with the family, it's clear how much love is still there. And there are so many shots of dead Nell just in the background, adding more to the whole "I was there the whole time and you didn't see me". That last line, and that hanging shot of her, is incredibly haunting.
