Yeah it was like this in episode 4 too I just rewatched the entirety of season 1 while waiting for episodes 3 and 4.

Another great reaction! Re: Angel Dust's voice being lower and less lispy, his voice seems to go down like that any time he's serious. It was the same in ep 4 in season 1. I think the higher, campy voice is him putting on a mask whereas the lower one is closer to his real voice

This is one of the weaker episodes imo. However it was interesting seeing Charlie go from depressed emotional mess in episode 1 overly positive emotional mess in this one.

I have a feeling that Angel's mortal sin wasn't necessarily murder. Like maybe he was driving while drunk/high and got into an accident that killed his dad. He feels guilt and says he killed his dad, and Vox being the guy he is spins it to be murder.
